How to Get and Use Joker Cards in Travel Town
The Joker Card is one of the most valuable tools in Travel Town. Every player is chasing it, and that’s because it’s the fastest way to plug a hole in your album.
The only problem is that the Joker Card is rare and is not a standard card that you pull easily from the regular card packs. Even so, you can still get it for free in many different ways.
In this guide, you’ll learn how to get free Joker Cards and how to use them effectively.
Let’s get started.
What Is the Joker Card?
A Joker Card is a special wild card that you can transform into any card you’re missing to help fill those gaps and finish a set. So it helps you finish sets and albums faster so you can collect free energy and other amazing rewards.
That said, there are two versions in Travel Town. A common Joker Card only works with common cards which have a white stroke.

While the Golden Joker Card works with both common and golden cards.

But I don’t recommend wasting your Golden Joker Card on a common card that you can still get easily through different events and trading.
Also, heads up: the Joker Cards expire after 24 hours once you get them so you must use them right away.

One more thing: Travel Town also has a Joker item that’s separate from the Joker Card. Check out my Joker guide and my free Joker post if you want to dig into that one too.
How to Get a Joker Card in Travel Town
Before we get started, I just want to let you know that I’ll only cover free methods. But if you’d like to spend some money, then you need to keep an eye out for any promotion, as the Joker Card might just be included.
Complete your weekly goals

The most common way of getting a Joker Card in Travel Town is to complete the weekly goals. Weekly goals are a set of daily tasks that you should complete to earn rewards and points, which fill up a milestone bar. And if you play and finish your tasks consistently, you’ll be able to reach the top prize, which sometimes is a Joker Card.
Join in-game events

You can win the Joker Card by participating in various events like Card Crush, Dream Quest, and Partner events. Just be sure to be prepared with enough energy for these events as they consume a lot. Also, you need to add active friends who really play if you want to finish the Partner events, otherwise, good luck finishing it.
Build the Fantasy Island

The Fantasy Island is a seasonal event where you build an island by placing decorations and buildings. And to buy these decorations, you’ll need special tokens, which you can collect by filling orders and playing events.
You’ll go through different stages and earn rewards as you go, until you complete the whole island and finally claim the Golden Joker Card.
Finish Flame sets

Flame Cards (or sets) are a limited-time addition to the Seasonal album, and you can only collect them while the event is live. You can get them from both regular packs and Flame Packs, but you can’t trade them with other players.
Mostly, you’ll earn a big chest containing a Golden Joker Card, a Joker item, and a respectable amount of diamonds, that’s if you managed to complete the full set, of course. But if the event timer runs out before you finish, you’ll miss the rewards entirely, so keep note of that.
Complete Tick Tock orders

Occasionally, there will be some timed auto orders with a Joker Card, and those are Tick Tock orders. They pop up randomly while you play, and you have to craft the requested items and press “GO” before time runs out to collect the reward.
However, the timer keeps running, even if you close the game or step away from your Main Board. And on top of that, these orders often request rare items from the secondary chains that will cost you a lot of energy. Oftentimes, I use the “Joker and Splitter trick” to tackle those orders.
How to Use the Joker Card
To use the Joker Card in Travel Town, first, open the seasonal album by tapping the card collection button at the bottom of the home screen (map view).

Next, a pop-up will automatically ask you to use it, and then tap “Choose Now”.

Then, it will take you to where you can see all the missing cards on each set and the rewards you’ll earn.

Finally, decide which card you want to get, select it, tap on “I’ll take it!”, and tap on “Confirm”.

Since the Joker Card is rare, you should use it strategically. So the real question is “which card should I use it on?” Well, that depends on where you’re at with the season.
If there is enough time and you’re feeling confident you’ll complete the whole album, use it on a 5 star card from the bottom sets, as they’re the rarest most of the time.
But if the season is near its end, then I would suggest using it on whichever set is closest to complete with the highest rewards.
