I’ve seen a lot of players ignore Auto Orders, and that’s a big mistake. They spend all their energy trying to complete regular orders only to stay broke, run out of space quickly, and progress slowly.

Then they end up asking “are Auto Orders worth it?” whether on the Travel Town Facebook group or on the game’s subreddit.

The answer is: if you want to level up faster in Travel Town, then Auto Orders are a must. They will help you upgrade your town buildings very quickly and get more rewards.

Keep reading and you’ll learn:

Let’s get started.

What Are Auto Orders in Travel Town?

Auto Orders (also called automatic orders) are “hidden” orders that appear automatically when you craft a specific number of a max level items from a chain:

So instead of waiting for a villager to ask for an item, the Auto Orders pop into your order bar giving you a large amount of coins and toolboxes, or a chest that contains both and some energy as well. But they give you nothing else (like event tokens).

How Do Travel Town Auto Orders Work?

Auto Orders follow a simple rule. You craft the max item in a chain and repeat that craft enough times to hit the required quantity (usually 1 to 3), then the game checks three things:

  1. Did you produce the right item?
  2. Did you produce enough copies?
  3. Is anything blocking it in the order bar?

Let’s look at a few examples so you can see the rule in action:

  • Three Large Sand Castles from Beach Bucket
  • One Bocata Feast from Dinner Basket
  • Three Gingerbread Houses from Baking Oven

Now that you know how Auto Orders trigger, you should also understand the way the game handles them behind the scenes:

  • Only one Auto Order can appear at a time, and the next one will wait in the line until you deliver the one you already have.
  • Regular orders take priority. This means if a villager and an Auto Order want the same item, the Auto Order stays hidden and the villager’s order will show first.
  • Auto producers often make these orders especially profitable because they don’t cost energy.

You’ll see different Auto Orders as you move through the game.

Early on, they often come from Beach Bucket, Dinner Basket, and Luggage because their max items are quick to craft.

In the mid game, Kitchen Robot and Ice Cream Cabinet start showing up as their chains grow.

Late game chains such as Spa Facilities, Barn Vehicles, Fish Tank, and Vines trigger higher value Auto Orders because their max items take more work to produce.

Auto Orders vs Regular Orders

There are two types of orders in Travel Town.

Auto Orders:

And Regular Orders:

Although they might look similar in the bar but they behave very differently.

For that reason, I created this table to help you understand the differences between them so you can decide which ones to prioritize or when to use each type.

Are Auto Orders Worth It?

It’s easy to fall into the trap of thinking “Why should I care about Auto Orders anyway?”

Well, as I said earlier, the Auto Producers don’t cost energy to generate items. And most players focus on the Auto Orders that come from those since they’re free.

So the Auto Orders are very important because they give you a good amount of coins without draining energy, and you already know that coins are used to build the town. Also they help you clean up your board to get more space.

On top of that, the coins reward increases as you level up and progress in the game.
