What Is the Treasure Temple in Family Island?
The Treasure Temple event is a limited-time mini game where you use Treasure Hammers to smash tiles, and reveal hidden “Ancient Gems” that must match silhouettes shown on the sides of the board.
You’ll advance through multiple levels which are called “Gates” and each gate contains hidden shapes that you must uncover. So each tap will cost you one hammer and when you clear a level, you’ll earn a milestone reward and move on to the next gate. Each gate is harder than the previous but the rewards will be better too.
You can see your current level and the rewards you can earn on the progress bar below the board. You need to open all gates before the time ends and earn the grand prize.
How to Play the Treasure Temple
Now you know what Treasure Temple is, it’s time to see how to play it:
First, tap on the temple gate icon on the home screen to open the Treasure Temple.
Now, you’re on the first gate, you can see the shapes you have to find on the sieds of the board and how many hammers you have.
Then, tap on any tile to break it and this will cost you one hammer.
Finally, find all the shapes to earn a reward and move to the next gate.

How to Get Treasure Hammers
You can’t play the Treasure Temple without Treasure Hammers, so it’s important to know how to get them.
That said, below are the ways to get those hammers:
- Complete tasks and missions on the festival island, and you’ll earn hammers alongside other rewards.
- Complete your daily and weekly tasks to earn hammers.
- Do your normal activities on your home island like farming, chopping trees or breaking rocks and you’ll collect some hammers.
- Play and progress on the other side events and you’ll earn more hammers.
You can tap on the magnifying glass next to the hammer icon to see how you can get more Treasure Hammers.
However, you can buy the hammers from the game shop if you don’t have enough time to play.
Best Tips to Complete the Treasure Temple
Tapping randomly on the tiles will waste your hammers, so I will share with you my best tips to find the Ancient Gems faster:
- Start in the center of the board: mostly, the bigger shapes hide near the center of the board, so target those first to complete them faster. And this will help you find more silhouettes quickly and get clues for what’s nearby.
- Work around the first clue you find: if you smash a tile, and it reveals part of a shape, then focus on clearing the tiles next to it and you’ll finish the full silhouette faster so you can move to the next one.
- Don’t waste hammers on corners early: the corners and edges often hide smaller shapes, or nothing at all, so save them for later when you only have one or two pieces left to find.
- Use boosters to collect hammers faster: if you have any “Energy Saving” or “Extra Item” boosters, now’s the time to use them, so they will help you collect more hammers from the home island activities.
- Keep your eye on the timer: always check how much time is left before you start playing on a new gate so if you don’t have enough time to finish a board, just skip it as you’ll only waste your energy for nothing.
