How to Earn Free Jokers in Travel Town (7 Tips for Beginners)
The Joker is a “wild” item in Travel Town that you can merge with another item on your board to create the next level item in that chain.
It can help you when you’re one merge away from completing a big order, but you don’t have enough energy to build the chain from scratch.
The problem is, Joker is rare and expensive, which costs 150 diamonds. So if you want to earn free Jokers in Travel Town, you’ll love these tips.
In fact, these same strategies that I use to earn Jokers consistently, as you can see I have 15 stocked in my game inventory:

By the way, you can collect free Travel Town energy every day from this page.
Let’s get started.
Finish the Seasonal Album

You’ll earn a free Joker item as a reward (alongside other rewards) by collecting cards and finishing the seasonal album. To complete the album faster, you need to trade your duplicate cards with friends or in the official Travel Town trading group.
And if you’re a few cards away from finishing the album, then use the Joker cards to fill in the remaining spots.
Participate in Events

There are at least two events running each day in Travel Town, and they usually include a Joker in the rewards.
While you’re on the home screen, look at the top left, and you’ll see some icons with a timer. Those are events. Tap one to see what you need to do to earn the rewards.
Start participating in these events and you’ll find yourself collecting far more Jokers than you normally would. Also, you can earn Joker pieces through many events which you can merge together to create a Joker pearl.

However, make sure to be prepared because these events consume a lot of energy, so you won’t get stuck in the middle.
Level Up

Sometimes when you level up, a claw machine will show up, and you have the choice to pick one chest from three. One of these chests contains a Joker item.
Keep in mind that you’ll need a lot of coins to upgrade the buildings in your town, so I recommend checking our Auto Orders guide since they give big coin rewards and you don’t need energy to complete them.
Complete Challenging Orders

You can win a Joker as a reward for completing a challenging order. Yep, these are not your small, easy orders which you complete every now and then.
They are the big ones that ask for multiple max-level items, and they take a huge amount of energy if you build them from scratch.
So to complete these orders faster, always keep some rare and high-level items in your inventory.
Join the Travel Town Loyalty Club

If you’re on level 35 or above, you can join the “Travel Town Loyalty Club” using your Facebook account or your email. Then you’ll get access to extra goodies such as Joker, energy, diamonds, and stickers all on top of what you already earn in the game.
Pretty cool right?
You’ll earn rewards in the Loyalty Club in a few simple ways:
- First, you visit the Loyalty Club website every day to claim a free daily gift.
- Next, you have to complete three daily missions in the game and go back to the website to press “Collect” so your points count.
- Finally, as you earn more points, you move up through reward tiers. And higher tiers give you better prizes like special chests, bigger energy bundles, and rare stickers.
However, if you buy certain special offers through the Loyalty Club web store, then you’ll climb tiers faster.
Build the Fantasy Island

Fantasy Island is a seasonal event in Travel Town where you build your own dream island and earn incredible rewards such as Joker items, Joker cards, diamonds, and tons of energy.
To build this island, you need a special token which you’ll collect by doing normal things in the game (filling orders, playing other events, etc) then you spend them in the Fantasy Island Shop to buy decorations.
You place those decorations on your island, which helps you move the progress bar forward and unlock new stages. You’ll collect prizes after finishing each stage, but also every new decoration and stage costs more than the last.
When you finish the whole island, you collect the grand prize, and any extra tokens you didn’t use turn into rewards automatically so nothing is wasted.
Your finished island stays on the map even after the event is over and some decorations can be upgraded to make your island look even cooler.
Follow Travel Town on Facebook
The developers of Travel Town frequently run giveaways and challenges on Travel Town’s official Facebook page where the Joker is often offered as a prize. So follow their page, and join in on those giveaways for a chance to win amazing rewards.
Conclusion
The Joker item is rare. So rare. But as you can see, there are many ways to earn free Jokers in Travel Town without spending your diamonds.
Just remember, the biggest mistake new players make is using their Joker too early on “easy-to-make” items.
So when you earn your first Joker, save it for difficult chains or for the final merges that will cost you a huge amount of energy.
That’s it.
